For now, use the drop down items in the "Photo's" section of the main menu just above.

Just hover ypur mouse over the word "Photo's" and you'll be able to see the three galleries that are available.  I'm still working on the photo setion...and the whoe site and for now I just need to have everything functional.  I'll be back later to fix this and make the photos portion better, I promise!  For now, please just bear with me.

This is the new home to my Blog's that I will be keeping for your reading and information pleasure!  My blogs are divided into 3 categories:

slide-5

Recovery Blog

This is a blog where I will place updates about my health and recovery as I continue to mend from the near fatal accident I was involved in on August 15th, 2010.  There will be an archival area where the news updates from the previous "NickAycock.com" website will be available to view.  This particular area is of more recent posts that have been made by me since I've been able to administer the site and place updates myself.  For a short while following my September 27th surgery, there may be some updates made by my family and friends as I may be unable to make the updates myself.

slide-3Tech Blog

This is going to be a blog where I can jot down my thoughts of all of the different technology that I own, encounter, discover, and use.  I hope that some of you may find it to be useful as you consider upgrading or experiencing similar technology.  This is one of my major areas of interest, so I always try to keep up with the newest, latest, and greatest technologies, gadgets, and gizmos.  If you have any questions about anything tech, shoot me a note and I'd love to share any knowledge I have as well as any opinions or guidance.

(Disclaimer: If you take my advice and it in any way causes you any harm or loss, it's not my fault.  I'll get something more water tight up here later, but for now this should do.  In other words...use common sense, please.)

slide-6Nick's Blog

This is where I'm going to document some of my day to day experiences and activities and some not so normal activiites for friends, family, and anyone else who would like to enjoy.

old website_thumbnailI have a long version of this page that I'm going to work on when I have more time, but for now, I'll give you the gist of what this site is and why I'm doing it.  When NickAycock.com was originally created, it was a place for me to learn about making a website.  I put some neat little information on it about different interests of mine, Disc Golf scores were placed on it so that everyone I played disc gold with could come and look at the scores for every game we played, and I ultimately had intended to make a blog somewhere on the site.  I didn't really understand a blog, at least a personal one, for quite some time.

The Original NickAycock.com had few, if any, visitors and I was fine with that.  Like I said...it was for me to learn and have fun with.  But then, I got into that accident in August of 2010.  Luckily, my friends Bob and Andi who had been helping me with the website knew the credentials to get onto the website and with both of themBob Andi_web having backgrounds in web design they transformed the website.  As I lay in a coma in ICU in St. Louis University Hospital, my condition wavering between bad and worse, Bab and Andi turned NickAycock.com into a powerful tool to keep everyone up to date on my condition and status as they were notified and as they would monitor my family members' facebook pages.

Not everyone that I know has a facebook page and NickAycock.com gave them a place to come to stay updated on my status and later, my reciovery.  In addition, it was extremely beneficial as a tool for fundraising and several other projects that my wonderful family and friends put in place.

Now, over a year later, NickAycock.com is still a place where my updates are given in length about my recovery.  But now I am able to write them.  I've also expanded the site to include a generic blog about my life as originally intended, a Tech Blog to write about my love of gadgets and technology, and it's still where my recovery blog is.  On top of it all, the original purpose still remains and that is that this is a place for me to have fun on the internet and learn more and become better at building websites and doing graphic design.

So, I hope that you enjoy my little place on the internet.  While it was originally created for me, it's always open to anyone who would like to come in and enjoy anything that I create or share.
